This transmittance curve verifies the high performance of our ZnSe 3.7–4.8 μm A+A AR coated window, optimized for mid-wave infrared (MWIR) applications:
  • High Transmittance: Average 99.1964% across the full 3.7–4.8 μm band, with peak transmittance exceeding 99.3%.
  • Optimized Response: Two high-transmission peaks at ~3.85 μm and ~4.6 μm, tailored for common MWIR use cases.
  • Key Clarification: The small dip near 4.26 μm is caused by atmospheric CO₂ absorption during testing (not a coating flaw).
  • Superior to Uncoated ZnSe: The AR coating eliminates most surface reflection, outperforming uncoated ZnSe (only ~69% transmittance in this range).
